Live Sessions: Frankie Swain, Naz & Ella

March 22, 2019   | Starts 8pm

An evening of female Folk artists…

Frankie is an Alt-Folk singer-songwriter based in London. Frankie has a distinctive sound, this paired with her raw emotive voice has earned her an ever-growing fan base. 2017 saw her perform with Steve Rodgers (son of Bad Company’s Paul Rodgers) on his Intimate Adventures Tour. Described as ‘a true talent’ by Rodgers, Frankie has gone on to play some prestigious venues around London and Kent.

Naz & Ella are a North London based folk-indie duo who combine intricate fingerstyle guitar with ethereal harmonies, which have been described as “formidable and defiant” by Fresh On The Net. They are influenced by duos such as First Aid Kit and The Pierces and listeners have compared their stripped back sound to The Staves and a female Simon & Garfunkel.

Naz’s soulful voice and Ella’s delicate harmonies seamlessly complement one another when their voices join, lifting their honest lyrics into new planes. Naz & Ella are a duo writing about more than just love and heartbreak. While they are not opposed to writing the odd love song, it is current political and social issues that captured the attention of this indie-folk duo, covering an array of topics from Brexit, to homelessness and the freedom to love on the debut EP: In Limbo.

It’s free entry, kitchen is open until 10pm and the bar is open until midnight…
