Excited to announce the first of our Live Sessions in April will be an intimate performance from SHELLS plus her special guest JAKL, one not to miss!
SHELLS, is a singer-songwriter from Kent, England. In 2016, she released her debut EP ‘Shapes’. ‘Jailbird’ (the third single from the EP) became BBC Radio 1’s ‘Introducing Track of the Week’, later leading to a performance on the BBC Introducing stage at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Hull. SHELLS supported Charlie Puth and The Naked and Famous separately on their respective European and UK tours, and sold-out headline gigs and festivals across Europe and the UK. From March 2019 SHELLS will begin releasing songs from her new EP.
Margate-based artist JAKL burst onto the scene as one of Glastonbury’s emerging talents in 2016. His ethereal and emotionally raw music lead to several sold-out headline shows and radio support. After releasing ‘Shadows’ and touring Europe with Air Traffic, he ended last year by recording a live album at Hackney’s Paper Dress Vintage.
Born into a family of musicians, his influences range from John Martyn, Bon Iver and Jeff Buckley to the music of his opera singing father. He has secured national radio airplay from a Huw Stephens session to Jo Good (XFM), BBC Introducing and BBC 6 Music. The upcoming single ‘Wounds’ is to be released on Wild Dog Records in April 2019.
