Photographer Zoë Gower-Jones showcases the results of her ambitious year-long portrait project at Muxima throughout July.
When she started ‘Can I Take Your Picture 365’, her mission was to photograph a stranger every single day and, in the process, unearth the stories of the Londoners she passes on the streets every day. The results of her visual storytelling are brimming with character; truly reflect London’s diversity and show an energy to our bustling city that challenges any notion of anonymity and unfriendliness.
Pop by Muxima throughout July and you’ll see the faces of the characters she encountered across her year of discovery – and almost certainly recognise some Roman Road locals.
Zoë Gower-Jones is a documentary portrait photographer with a passion for capturing the fabric of towns and cities through the faces of the people who live there.
